Finding outfits for your boudoir session is half the fun but sometimes it is hard to know where to start! Keep in mind these simple tips and recommendations and you will look amazing! Here are tons of ideas on what to wear for your boudoir session.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Not every outfit has to be lingerie
- Have at least one bra and panty set
- Bring high heels
- Try everything on before your session
- Brand new lingerie or very lightly worn is best
- Keep your body type in mind
- No clothing is an outfit at a boudoir session
- Wear whatever YOU feel sexy in – if you don’t feel sexy in something, you won’t think you look sexy in it!
What do I wear?!
These are just some ideas to get your gears moving, and things that I have found work well for boudoir sessions. Don't let this list limit you- bring whatever you think you'll want for your session!
Lingerie:
- Bodysuits are a whole look on their own and are flattering on all body types
- Matching bra and pantie sets, its always good to have one plain black set if you can
- Think of the colors that you look good in. Jewel tones like emerald green, red, and navy look good on everyone
- Think robes, coverups, or something sheer.
Something of His- If you are doing this for your significant other, it might be a good idea to bring something of his like:
- A button- up shirt
- One of his T-shirts
- A sports jersey
- A hat of his
- His uniform
Casual + Cozy:
- Oversized cable-knit sweater
- Your favorite jeans and a plain white tank top
- Your favorite band tee
- Knee high socks are super sexy!
Other Ideas to consider:
- HIGH heels
- Accessories- jewelry, hats, etc
- Sentimental items
- If you're getting married, bring something all white, and maybe your wedding shoes, garter and veil if you have them :)
- Put your personality into your session! This is all about YOU.
OVERALL TIPS
- Bring your clothing and lingerie on hangers. Don’t stuff it in a bag! This will reduce wrinkles and fold lines.
- Clean the bottoms of your shoes (and feet) just in case they appear in a photo.
- Cut tags and make sure security devices have been removed from new purchases.
- The magic of photoshop stops at tan lines. Be careful being in the sun before your session.
- Make sure your mani-pedi is fresh and matches your clothing colors and styles. French tips, golds, and neutral colors look really nice. Avoid bold colors as it will become of the focus of the photo.
- Opt for lacy, sheer demi cup bras over full coverage t-shirt bras.
- Come to the session in loose fitting clothes without bras, socks, or panties to prevent dents or lines on your body.
